Humber College Internship Placements for Hospitality – Hotel & Restaurant Operations Management Diploma Program
January 12 – April 17, 2026
Humber College is looking for partners to host their students for the fall semester. Students in this program may work in hotels, banquet or golf facilities, tourist attractions, retirement homes, or long-term care facilities (in hospitality related positions) or food & beverage front of house positions (no culinary) for their placements.
The internship is a total of 200 hours and would run between January 12 to April 17 (may start as early as January 5 with permission). Learn more about the program here.

The envisAGE 3rd Call for Innovations is now open! The call aims to support the integration of innovative solutions in the living environments and care settings of older adults and caregivers, while facilitating opportunities for SMEs to grow and scale their products and services across Canada.
Who can apply?
✔️ Canadian SMEs that have a mature technology for older adults and caregivers.
✔️ Organizations providing services, supports, care and/or housing to older adults or caregivers, and committed to innovation adoption.
The innovative solutions must address one or more of the following areas:

Free Virtual Program – The Great Canadian Farm Tour
November 25 – December 11, 2025
Retirement home residents are invited to register for the Great Canadian Farm Tour – a free virtual program where seniors can watch live tours of farm and food facilities across Canada in English and/or French. Learn more by viewing the poster in English or French and click here to register.
Why register? Seniors enjoy these tours because they are both engaging and educational, offering the chance to learn about a wide variety of farms—from dairy and goat farms to mushroom and tulip farms. The experience is interactive, allowing participants to ask questions and connect directly with farmers during the live sessions. With convenient online access, they can join from anywhere without the need for travel. Plus, the tours provide a meaningful cultural connection by showcasing the rich agricultural and food heritage of different Canadian provinces.

McMaster Continuing Education’s Retirement Community Management Program
Winter enrolment open
McMaster Continuing Education’s Retirement Community Management program is developed in collaboration with the Ontario Retirement Communities Association (ORCA) to help equip students with the necessary skills to advance in this rewarding and rapidly-growing industry. The program focuses on the various departments of retirement communities, such as healthy aging, facilities management, marketing, finance and people management.
Winter enrolment is open! Online courses include Healthy Aging: Health, Wellness and Nutrition and Residential Site Operations. Students can earn a certificate of professional learning in Retirement Community Management by completing the three-course program. It is also available as a concentration of the Business Administration diploma program.
